In an effort to be proactive in combating the prevalence and spread of COVID-19, effective Monday, March 23 city facilities will be closed to the public until further notice. The city itself will still be open for business and we will continue to provide services and assistance to residents.
This closure is in effect for:
Civic Center and Arena
Bender Performing Arts Center
Fire Stations 1 & 2
Red Light Camera Office
City facilities that will not be impacted include all City Parks, which will remain open for use and enjoyment; as well as the Municipal Court building, Police Department and Building & Permits Department, which have isolation measures already in place, will continue to operate normally.
We are encouraging residents to pay their water bills by mail, the City Hall drop box, over-the-phone, or online at http://www.cityofhumbleip.com.
Residents needing further assistance can call 281-446-3061.
Obviously, closing city facilities to the public is diametrically opposed to our service oriented mission, however we must take extraordinary measures to overcome these extraordinary times. I am confident that our staff will be able to rise to this challenge and continue serving our residents and businesses.
